Event Details:
Event #1 – Find your Wild Creature Crawl
Date – October 11, 2025
Time – 4 pm – 8 pm
Location – 2155 West Forest Street, Brigham City, UT 84302
Join us at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge Visitor Center for Find Your Wild Creature Crawl as we move through nature. Visitors will traverse the nature trail behind the visitor center, where they will encounter wildlife creatures of all kinds. Creatures will be giving out educational fun facts about themselves and a treat. Make sure to stop at our outdoor classroom, where the Refuge’s mad biologist will be brewing up root beer for all to share, and in our classroom in the visitor center, where we will be decorating wildlife-themed pumpkins!
Visitors are encouraged to dress up as their favorite wildlife.
Event #2 – Behind the Gates Day
Date – October 18, 2025
Time – 9 am – 1 pm
Location – 2155 West Forest Street, Brigham City, UT 84302
Join for Behind the Gate Day. Participants will be able to move through nature and drive down D-Line on the Refuge. This road is typically closed to public access. This once-a-year event allows visitors to go behind the scenes and enjoy wildlife. Staff and volunteers will be stationed at stations along the way where visitors will be able to stop, learn, ask questions, take photos, and use spotting scopes. Visitors will be able to participate in our Jr. Ranger program for the day if they stop at 4 stations along D-Line and obtain a wildlife stamp while with our staff and volunteers about the wildlife that they see behind the gates. Jr. Ranger booklets will be available at the Friends table at the start of the auto tour. Be sure to stop and grab one! This is fun for visitors of all ages.
