Join the Friends of Heinz Refuge to Find Your Wild!
Find Your Wild is a nationwide celebration of our National Wildlife Refuges- our nation’s oldest wildlife protection program. A wildlife refuge is a place where animals can find protected space to rest, breed, forage, and raise their young. As America’s first urban wildlife refuge, John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge also supports humanity’s needs for wild places, and we serve hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Did you know that the Audubon Society lists the Heinz Refuge as an Important Bird Area with Global Priority? This marks our refuge as critical for bird conservation, by participating in one of our events you are participating with a globally recognized ecosystem in bird survival. Please join us in one of our events below to celebrate nature, as nature, with nature. Learn more about our Refuge here to stay involved beyond our Find Your Wild celebrations.
