Join the Friends of Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge to Find Your Wild!
Find Your Wild is a nationwide event that lets you pick your favorite way to support your favorite National Wildlife Refuge. Come visit Albuquerque’s own Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge, the first Urban National Wildlife Refuge in the Southwest! Join the Friends of VdO to Find Your Wild at the main event, on Saturday October 11 from 9 am to 3 pm. Come to the Refuge for birdwatching, photography, biking, bring your dog, ride your horse, see the 4 mosaic tile sculptures, learn some plant ID, take a walk with a ranger, take a tour on the electric shuttle. Bring your family, friends, pets, and come enjoy our space! You can also come to the Refuge to Find Your Wild anytime it is convenient for you between September 1 and October 31. We will provide trail maps. There are many ways to Find Your Wild at VdO, and every donation helps support Refuge educational programs and recreational opportunities.
